What is subud.net?

This site is meant to help Subud members work together. (A Subud member is a person who has been opened, and considers herself/himself to be a Subud member.) There are a number of other sites that provide official Subud information and publish explanations and material about Subud and its organizations. This site includes information that comes directly from you.

Who maintains this service?

Web Community Resource Networks (a Toronto-based enterprise) created subud.net for the WSC. Web Networks hosts the site, and implements and runs the web interface and database.

Editorial and content control is managed by the WSA Executive, which includes the zone representatives in their executive roles.

What are the guidelines you agree to when you add things to this site?

1) Information and opinions about religion, politics, sports, and other unrelated matters do not belong here.

2) The webmasters have editorial control of this site. This means that material that violates these guidelines may be edited with your permission, or removed completely without your permission.

3) Entries (including Directory entries) must include your valid email address, and either your Center or country of residence.

4) The site is public, and your information and comments will be found by search engines such as Google.

Is this site password-protected?

Most of the site is public, including the International Directory and the rest of the sections that you see on the first (home) page. The only password protection is for areas further into the site.

How can I tell you how much I like this site, and offer ideas to make it better?

Send email to info@subud.org. This message goes to the WSA Executive team, Garrett Thomson, Maya Bernardes, and Julia Hurd. They may share your comments with other people.

This is a privacy policy for subud.net. Our homepage on the Web is located at http://subud.net. We invite you to contact us if you have questions about this policy. You may contact us by e-mail at info@subud.org.

Overview
We may collect aggregate information on what pages people access or visit. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor, and not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies. This site contains links to other Subud-affiliated sites. Subud.net is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Email
We will never sell your email address to anyone. The only time we may make directory information available is from already-existing entries as a service to Subud Centers or communities of interest that have their own directories on the site. For example, if a Subud Committee has a subud.net sub-site, we may provide up-to-date member directory information to them formatted to make printing a directory easier. Similarly, if a wing or community of interest (such as SICA, Subud Youth, SIHA) has a subud.net sub-directory, we may provide them with formatted member information from their sub-directory for use in printed directories, etc. We will send you periodic reminders about your password and other information. We do this as a service to you, and to maintain the accuracy of information. We may also send you periodic notification about features, content, or "did you know" usage hints based on feedback we get from people using the site. You may request that you do not receive these notifications.

Cookies
Cookies are a technology that can be used to provide you with tailored information from a Web site. A cookie is an element of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. Our site does not make use of cookies now, but may do so in the future.
